Positive social media response to our Free School-Meals grocery boxes

Last week, we were very concerned seeing some of the #FreeSchoolMeals images and the lack of access to substantial meals. City Catering's priority is to make sure our grocery boxes are balanced and nutrient-packed as much as possible to provide high-quality recipes for our members.

Our CEO Rachel Hall spoke on BBC Radio Solent last week speaking on Free School Meals provision with Pat Sissons you can listen to the audio clip below:

However, in light of all the drama around the free school meals images which were highlighted by Marcus Rashford’s campaign, we were blown away by all your great feedback to us in contrast to some of the images we have seen over the last weekend.

We have highlighted some of the great feedback we received in regards to our most recent January FSM grocery boxes that we gave to some of the families from our member schools. We delivered just over 2,000 grocery boxes and have been supporting our schools with two-week boxes with helpful recipe cards and online support through our Cooking at Home with City Catering page and our Cooking at Home with City Catering Facebook group.

Check out some of these great responses:
