Our secondary school and college menus are specifically tailored for students aged 11-18.

We offer a wide range of delicious food options and provide a delightful mix of healthy and nutritious traditional fayre, hot and cold DELI-cious lighter options and familiar grab-and-go items; ensuring there's something to satisfy every student's palate throughout the school day!

These include our:

• ‘Main Event’ hot meals - recognisable dishes that compliment the diverse tastes of our member school students

• ‘Grab-and-Go Zone’ - high street inspired tasty quick bites students can grab to fit in with their busy timetable

• ‘Deli-cious Bar’ -prewrapped baguettes, wraps, sandwiches and salads to eat on the move to the next lesson

• ‘Chilled Out’ - school food plan compliant beverages and fruit pots to help keep students hydrated

Allergen and Food Information

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, we ask that any student with food allergies or specific dietary requirements speak directly with a member of the City Catering team at their school before placing an order.

We are proud to operate nut-free kitchens across all our secondary schools and colleges.

A comprehensive allergen matrix is available onsite for all unwrapped products, including our freshly prepared ‘Main Event’ meals and items from the ‘Grab & Go Zone’. Students can request to view this matrix at any time to help them make informed food choices.

All pre-packaged items are clearly labelled in accordance with Natasha’s Law, ensuring transparency and safety for all.

Cashless Catering Systems

When our food service points are open, students select their food and bring the items to a till point. There, they are identified using biometric fingerprint recognition technology. The system then displays the student’s photo to the till operator for identity confirmation, and the cost of the selected items is automatically deducted from the student’s account.

The biometric system ensures that service is both quick and efficient. To maintain smooth operation, student accounts should remain in credit at all times. Students can easily check their balances through the system. Please note that each school or college sets its own policies regarding account credit.
